About

Sadé Meeks, MS, RD, is a writer, food activist, and lover of nutrition. Her love for food started in the kitchen with her mom while growing up in Jackson, MS. This love blossomed and led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts from Mississippi University for Women and a Master’s Degree in Nutritional Science from California State University, Los Angeles. Meeks has self-published a food literacy cookbook, and her nutrition expertise have been featured in Reader’s Digest, MSN, and Yahoo News.

Meeks is an avid advocate for minority communities. She believes it is part of her purpose to empower communities that have been impacted by systemic racism and health disparities. One-way Meeks aims to empower communities is by bridging the gaps between nutrition and culture.
